Then the innovation began, with flavors and ingredients inspired by the cultures of the world. Today, Chef One is an industry leader in Asian fusion appetizers, using fresh ingredients and just the right blend of seasonings. Biting into Chef One is an experience.

Taking their love of dumplings to the next level, Chef One founded the NYC Dumpling Festival in 2009, with all proceeds benefiting Food Bank for New York City. The festival serves as a celebration of all things dumpling, from its origin over 1000 years ago to the many variations around the world. Along with its popular Dumpling Eating Contest, the festival has attracted thousands of dumpling lovers and raised over $250,000 for charity.

Timeline of Chef One’s Milestones

2017

Chef One expands its line of fusion egg rolls with a Philly Cheese Steak Egg Roll available to food service customers.

2016

Chef One launches 2 new flavors in addition to its existing retail collection: Kale & Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken Dumpling.

2015

Chef One officially declares Sept. 26 'National Dumpling Day'!

2011

Going green: Chef One implemented use of a cogenerator to capture waste energy and use it to cool and heat the facility

2008

Chef One expands an additional 25,000 square feet to a total of 130,000 square feet

2007

Official grand opening of TMI's 80,000 square feet facility. Chef One is the first Asian food manufacturer to obtain the ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System approval by NQA

2004

Chef One begins renovation of a new state-of-the-art 80,000 square foot facility at 7 Bushwick Place, Brooklyn, NY

1999

Chef One is founded in a 5,000 square foot facility to produce the Chef One line of dumplings and appetizers
